The Amaryllis Double King stands out because of its large, double flowers with a beautiful vibrant red color. These spectacular, full flowers bloom on sturdy, long stems that grow to a height of about 60 to 80 cm. This amaryllis has a lush appearance and is often used as a striking houseplant and in festive flower arrangements, especially during the winter months. Amaryllis, also called Hippeastrum, are elegant and long-lasting flowers and are easy to grow and care for. Plant the amaryllis bulb in well-drained potting soil mix, leaving the top part of the bulb visible. Use a pot with an opening at the bottom for water drainage. Then place it in a bright place at room temperature. Give the bulb little water until a green bud appears. Once this appears, the bulb needs more water. It takes about six to eight weeks for Amaryllis Double King to bloom.
