The Amaryllis Akiko is a beautiful double-flowered amaryllis with bright white trumpet-shaped flowers, sometimes with a subtle pink stripe on the inner petals. The full double flowers make this flower bulb an exotic addition to your home and its white color gives it a timeless appearance. The strong stem makes the amaryllis very suitable as a cut flower and also perfect as a Christmas gift.

Amaryllis, also called Hippeastrum, are elegant and long-lasting flowers and are surprisingly easy to grow. Plant the amaryllis bulb in well-drained potting soil mix, leaving the upper part of the bulb visible. Use a pot with an opening at the bottom for water drainage. Then place it in a bright place at room temperature. Give the bulb little water until a green bud appears. Once this appears, the bulb needs more water. It takes about six to eight weeks for Amaryllis Akiko to bloom.
